Cologne/New York - November, 2015 // With the world premiere of the Freightliner Inspiration Truck, OSK won in not one but two categories of the BizBash Event Style Awards. The spectacular production at the Hoover Dam was chosen by the jury of the renowned North-American competition as “Best Product Launch” as well as “Best Use of Special Effects at an Event.” The jurors selected the best entries from a total of about 1,000 submissions in 30 categories.

The prestigious prizes were awarded as a highlight of the professional fair BizBash Live: The Expo in New York 2015, on the evening of October 27th. For the third consecutive year, the editors of the event planning trade magazine of the same name (BizBash) honored - in cooperation with other influencers - outstanding projects which have a significant influence on international events and meeting industries.

“We are overjoyed to win these awards, which demonstrate our ability to execute captivating productions and compelling product launches,” said Andre Poehlker, CEO of OSK Marketing and Communications.

With the spectacular presentation of the first autonomously-driving truck to have public road authorization, OSK transformed the Hoover Dam into the largest drivable stage in the world in May of this year. Sixty high-output projectors created a gigantic projection measuring 420,000 square feet on the 725 feet-high dam wall. With 1.17 million lumens, the projection was awarded a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD™ for greatest light output in a projected image on the evening of the reveal.

The reveal concept involved a strong symbolic link between trucks and the Hoover Dam, seeing as trucks were instrumental in building the dam. OSK developed the entire show flow, the highlight of which was the truck’s dramatic drive onto the historic structure from the mountains above. Presentation content, speeches and most notably 3D digital animations were all developed in-house. The company’s extensive video production capabilities were showcased, with all award-winning computer animations being OSK designs.
