OSK went all-out for Mercedes-Benz during the 2011 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Michigan. To celebrate 125 years of the automobile (and, of course, Mercedes-Benz) OSK converted a large room within the Westin Book Cadillac hotel into a performance venue with a 280-degree LED video installation. The night before the opening of NAIAS, 300 journalists were treated to a New Year’s reception with live performances by Grammy winner Colbie Caillat, along with the most extensive video production OSK has ever created - one that depicted 10 impassioned Mercedes-Benz drivers across the world and which evoked strong positive feelings from the audience.

Shown on the enormous wraparound screen, the film “Road Trip” showed ten Mercedes drivers from seven countries, including point-of-view footage of cars being driven. Production of the film involved three camera teams in seven countries who fitted the rear seats of the vehicles with three cameras each, equipped with 14-millimeter wide-angle lenses. The resulting individual shots (from three separate angles) were merged into a panoramic view by means of special algorithms. Subsequently, the OSK specialists merged the individual scenes in the agency’s own cutting room, adding the background music.
